Rumors that Comedian Seth Rogen was buying expensive gifts for his wife, actress Lauren Miller, in order to pacify her and keep their marriage alive were debunked by Gossip Cop.

The rumors arose after an article on Globe claimed Miller was reportedly frustrated with her husband for not paying any attention to her and focusing solely on his career.

“Seth has been showering her with expensive gifts, taking her out on romantic dates and planning their next vacation when he has a few days off. He loves his career, but he realized that he couldn’t bear to lose Lauren,” the piece read.

The “fake news” report went on to mention that Rogen had received the idea of doting on his wife from his friends, whom he asked for marital advice after his relationship hit troubled waters.

The rumors were proved baseless by Gossip Cop, who reported there was plenty of evidence to suggest that Rogen and Miller’s marriage was going strong and it did not need the comedian to buy his wife’s affection in order to keep the spark alive.

For starters, Miller appeared on “The Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon last week and openly declared her love for Rogen. When Fallon said, “I love your husband, he’s one of my favorites,” she replied, “I love him too. He’s one of my favorites as well,” adding, “I’m gonna keep him around.”

“He’s amazing. He’s my favorite human in the whole world. He’s funny, he’s sweet… I feel very lucky every day,” she later said.

Miller teamed up with her husband professionally, for the Netflix film “Like Father” and both of them told Entertainment Tonight Canada on Wednesday that they loved collaborating with each other.

“If it’s in my life it’s on my mind, and if he’s working on something, it’s on his mind. And again we do the same thing and so I’m fortunate that I can talk about my work with my partner and he really gets it,” Miller said.

In another similar interview with W magazine, Miller further made it clear that she looked up to her husband for tips on working in the industry.

“I don’t trust anyone more than I trust him, and I think he is the most talented filmmaker ever,” she said. “He’s used to working in a super collaborative world, so it was like I had a trusted companion when he was around.”

Rogen, being the comedian that he is, could not help joking about it. “People give you scripts to read all the time. Your friends and family give you scripts sometimes and that’s the most stressful situation because if it’s bad, it’s a f------ massive bummer,” he said, adding that he was glad that he did not have to have the “awkward conversation” with his wife.

“When I read the script it was so nice ’cause I was like, A: It’s good, so that instantly bails me out of a very awkward conversation and B: It’s a movie I would actually like a lot and go see,” he said. Sharing his experience of working with Miller, he said that it wasn’t “weird” as people might think working side by side with spouses might be.

“It was fun. I’d do it again,” he said.

Apart from supporting his wife in her career, Rogen has also stood by Miller, when it actually mattered, for example, raising awareness for Alzheimer’s disease, after Miller’s mom was diagnosed with the disease in 2006. The couple launched Hilarity for Charity in 2012 to raise funds for Alzheimer’s research.

“I just feel incredibly fortunate that when this diagnosis happened to my mom, and it affected my whole family, that Seth didn’t run,” Miller gushed in an interview with US Weekly. “He leaned in and really took care of me and listened to me and supported me and my entire family, and was just a really amazing partner.”
