Sister, Sister
Tia Mowry, pictured with twin Tamera in a "Sister, Sister" promo shot, posted a sweet throwback Thursday photo. WB

A little bit easier to tell apart now that they’re older, that wasn’t always the case with Tia and Tamera Mowry.

The identical twins made a name for themselves by acting as a pair on the ABC/The WB series “Sister, Sister” in the ‘90s before moving on to twin movies. The first of which was the fun 2000 film “Seventeen Again,” which also happened to star their younger brother Tahj. Then we were treated to the fabulous DCOMs “Twitches” and “Twitches Too,” followed by the Lifetime film “Double Wedding” in 2010.

It’s safe to say the sisters love acting together, and so do their fans. But can true fans tell them apart? That’s the real question.

To be more specific, Tia wants to know if fans can tell young Tia and Tamera apart. She posted a throwback Thursday photo of the two of them from when they were younger with the caption, “TBT whose who?”

Well? Take a look at the photo and see if you can figure it out.

TBT whose who?

Have you made your guess? Time to find out the real answer.

Tamera is on the left and Tia is on the right. The best way to tell them apart, even when they are this young and look seemingly the same, is by searching for Tamera’s beauty mark. That’s the go-to way to win this Mowry twin trivia question.

Besides posting throwback Thursday photos, Tia is getting ready for the release of her war drama “Indivisible,” which comes out this year and also stars Justin Bruenning and Sarah Drew. She’s also busy running around taking care of her six-year-old son Cree with her husband Cory Hardrict.

Tamera on the other hand has her hands full co-hosting the daytime talk show “The Real” with co-hosts Adrienne Houghton, Jeannie Mai, Tamar Braxton-Herbert, and Loni Love. When she’s not sitting at that table talking with the girls, she’s caring for her children Aden and Aria with her reporter husband Adam Housley.

Next up for the twins is to continue working on getting a “Sister, Sister” revival to happen. The actresses are currently looking for a team to help them accomplish just that.

“We’re looking, right now, for a producer and a writer, someone who can kind of be a leader of the pack in regards to running the show,” Tia said in an interview with Nylon earlier this year. “I thought people would kind of be jumping on it, but it’s a lot harder than my sister and I thought it would be.”

While the task of reviving the hit series isn’t proving to be easy, the Mowry women aren’t giving up on the project.

“We’re moving forward, we’re taking those strides,” she continued. “They’re slow strides, but we’re pushing as hard as we can to make people happy and make our fans happy.”

The show’s theme song itself is practically begging for the series’ return.

“Sister, sister
Never knew how much I missed ya
Now that everybody knows
I ain't ever gonna let you go ”

Perhaps the best way to summon the revival is by singing the song. Plus, it’s a good way to pass the time until the show eventually does make its appearance.
