Johnny Depp's fans want Warner Bros. to fire Amber Heard from the "Aquaman" franchise after the actor said he was asked to resign from "Fantastic Beasts" by the studio.

On Friday, Depp said on Instagram that Warner Bros. asked him to leave the "Fantastic Beasts" franchise after he lost his libel case against British tabloid The Sun over an article calling him a "wife-beater." His supporters were not happy with the verdict, and the outrage was fueled by Depp losing another project.

Some fans accused Warner Bros. of having "double standards" for allowing Heard to continue playing her part as Mera in "Aquaman 2" and Zack Snyder’s "Justice League" but firing Depp from his role as Gellert Grindelwald. The actor had earlier accused his ex-wife of domestic abuse, BBC reported.

"I’m confused. I just saw that Warner Bros is firing Johnny Depp for 'Fantastic Beasts.' But correct me if I’m wrong, but Amber Heard was confirmed to return for the 'Justice League' Snyder redo. I feel like if Warner Bros is going to fire Depp, then they need to fire Heard," one Twitter user wrote.

"Warner Bros asking Johnny Depp to resign is so f-----g despicable and so shameful. They had to put their financial business above having moral principles? Use the same card and fire Amber Heard from Aquaman I f-----g dare you!" another netizen tweeted.

“Johnny Depp is asked to resign as Grindlewald but Amber Heard, who has significant amount of evidence to point her has the perpetrator of domestic abuse, is still in Aquaman? Oh, double standards,” a third fan wrote.

Some encouraged others to boycott Heard's projects.

"Don’t just boycott FB for Johnny Depp, boycott any future Warner Bros movie with Amber Heard in it. Show them not only do we want justice for Johnny Depp, but we want them to do something about HER. Aquaman 2 is coming and she hasn’t been fired," one person wrote.

Meanwhile, others had no problem with Depp being fired from "Fantastic Beasts."

"JUSTICE IS SERVED," one Twitter user wrote.

"Totally deserved. He was found to have done what he was accused of; he is unrepentant. He deserves ignominy, not fame," another social media user commented.

"Good! The second one wasn’t that good. But we cannot support men who bash victims of abuse," another said.

"This makes sense. WB can't afford to be doing business with somebody who has been accused of the things that Depp himself has been accused of doing," a fourth Twitter user opined.

Prior to this, Depp's fans called out Judge Andrew Nicol, who presided over his case against The Sun, for allegedly showing bias. The judge said he found that 12 out of the 14 incidents of domestic violence that Heard reported had occurred, leading him to decide that The Sun's "wife-beater" claim was "substantially true."

The judge's decision was met with criticism, including from Jenny Afia of Schillings, the law firm that represented Depp. The judge allegedly overlooked the counter-evidence from different witnesses that could have completely undermined the allegations against Depp.

"All of this was overlooked. The judgment is so flawed that it would be ridiculous for Mr Depp not to appeal this decision," she was quoted by Sky News as saying.
