Former White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ appearance on “The View” was heavily criticized on Tuesday. Viewers flocked to Twitter to slam her and the show.

Audiences of the daytime show became upset when Huckabee Sanders began defending Trump amid The Atlantic’s claim that Trump called U.S. troops “losers” and “suckers.”

“After spending nearly every single day for two and a half years next to the president, I can tell you I witnessed first hand the president’s respect and admiration for the men and women of our armed forces,” Huckabee Sanders said in response to the accusations against the president.

She added, “I’m going on the record, and I’m telling you it didn’t happen. That’s not who this president is, and that’s not how he feels about the men and women who serve in our military.”

However, fans took issue with her willingness to dismiss Trump’s behavior and many viewers were outraged that “The View” would even have Huckabee Sanders as a guest on the show.

“#TheView trying to hold Sarah Huckabee Sanders accountable is like watching a spoiled parent argue with their toddler. Neither one wins the argument. And, in the end, the toddler gets the cookie, continuing the cycle of spoiled brats bullying the world,” Democrat Johnny Akzam wrote.

Another person added, “Why have the most notorious liar cheerleader for tRump on #TheView? She actually said that tRump is working to empower black communities and things are getting better bc of him! Nothing could be further from the truth. #lyingSHS.”

Meanwhile, one viewer commended co-host Sunny Hostin, who repeatedly said Jacob Blake’s name, for adding her opinion into the conversation.

“Whew. I couldn’t take all the lies. I had to turn it off. I love Sunny, she always holds it down. However, I’m gonna have to take a hiatus from #TheView until after the election. Princess McCain is just unbearable with her need to give Dems advice. News flash, we don’t need it!!” the individual tweeted.

Following her appearance on the show, Huckabee Sanders accused “The View” of manipulating the public and encouraged her followers to learn the truth.

“No surprise @TheView tried to cut me off when I started exposing the pattern of unchecked mob violence in Democrat-run cities... Read the truth about our fight against the liberal mob in my new book,” she wrote.
