"Vikings" Season 4 Spoilers
Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) will face a new threat in Season 4, episode 4, of "Vikings." History Channel

Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) may have bestowed mercy upon Floki (Gustaf Skarsgård) in episode 3 of “Vikings,” but according to the synopsis for the coming Season 4 installment, that’s as much kindness as the king will show his treacherous friend.

“The Yule Log burns in the Great Hall in Kattegat,” the summary for the History Channel series states, revealing that our Vikings are celebrating Christmastime. But Floki, who recently learned his daughter died, is feeling anything but merry as he’s forced to stay outside in the cold during the joyous celebration.

Other visitors, however, will be welcomed by Ragnar — among them Norwegian royalty and Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig), who "brings a new partner we’ve met before." In the Season 4 premiere of “Vikings,” it was revealed that Porunn (Gaia Weiss), the mother of Bjorn’s child, left the village, leaving behind her daughter. But it looks like Bjorn is done pining over Porunn and will move onward with his life too as he brings home someone new.

Bjorn’s new romance teases that Ragnar’s eldest son may come out victorious against his battle with the Berserker — an assassin Kalf (Ben Robson) and Erlender (Edvin Endre) hired to take out Bjorn Ironside and destroy the Lothbrok clan.

But Bjorn won’t be the only Lothbrok left smitten by a beautiful woman in episode 4, titled "Yol." According to the summary, Ragnar will become quite intrigued with the foreign slave Yidu (Dianne Doan) and her mysterious past.

Meanwhile in Paris, Rollo (Clive Standen) will continue pursuing his wife, Princess Gisla (Morgane Polanski), who has requested a divorce from the pagan savage. But can Rollo’s unwavering devotion to Frankia save their marriage?

“Vikings” airs Thursday at 10 p.m. EST on the History Channel.
