Wayne Brady has dropped new details about the making of "American Gigolo." The actor revealed how much nudity was involved in the production of the upcoming steamy Showtime thriller, saying it's not for viewers who don't like seeing people naked.

Brady revealed that nudity was necessary to keep the show's plot in motion.

"The scenes that I am in are not steamy at all, because I play Jon's best friend, and so, I help move the story along, but I will say that there are a couple [of] poolside scenes where, well, folks are just naked so if you don't like folks being naked, don't watch 'American Gigolo,'" Brady said, as per ET.

"But something tells me if you're watching 'American Gigolo,' you should not be averse to a little bit of nudity," he added.

Despite the amount of nudity involved in the making of the series, Brady said it didn't take him too long to get used to seeing naked people on set. "It took me a second to get used to it. When I'm saying my line, and all of a sudden you got guys just walking by, 'Flip, flop, flip, flop, and girls go, 'Bloop, bloop, bloop, flip, flop, boom, boom,' and I'm like, 'Oh, okay, this is a day at work, I'm just gonna look up here,'" he said.

The TV adaptation of the film "American Gigolo," which first hit theaters in 1980, centers on the story of Julian Kaye, a well-loved former male escort whose life changes when he lands in prison for murder.

The series picks up 15 years after the events in the original film when new pieces of evidence proving that Julian, played by Jon Bernthal on the show, did not commit the crime come to light. After his release, however, Julian realizes that getting back to his old life is not as easy as he'd like, so he takes matter in his own hands and tries to solve the murder case himself.

In the series, Brady plays Lorenzo, Julian's best friend. Brady says Julian will have to lean on his mysterious character as he navigates both the sex industry and his complicated personal relationships.

"American Gigolo" premiers Sept. 9 on Showtime.
