Grammy-winning singer The Weeknd has dropped the teaser for his upcoming immersive music special, "The Weeknd X Dawn FM Experience."

The singer, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, stars in the clip as an older version of himself replete with gray hair and a thick white beard. He wanders through the night and stumbles upon a warehouse that plays his music. Once inside, he gets blinded by a light and collapses on the floor. The screen then goes black then the music special's title and premiere date flash on the screen.

"The Weeknd X Dawn FM Experience," which is premiering exclusively on Prime Video on Saturday, will mark the new era of the singer, according to Entertainment Tonight.

"I'm ecstatic to partner with Amazon to premiere the most elaborate live TV special I've ever done. Welcome to the next phase of 'Dawn FM' — a purgatory otherworld where live performance, theater, and performance art collide for a night out at the club," The Weeknd said in a statement, as per the outlet.

The music special's premiere is taking place only weeks after the launch of The Weeknd's critically acclaimed album "Dawn FM," which took place on Jan. 7.

It can be recalled that on the day of the album's release, the 32-year-old musician hosted a livestream dubbed "103.5 Dawn FM" on Amazon Music's Twitch channel as well as on the Amazon Music app. The event celebrated his new major release following the success of his 2020 album "After Hours," which carried the hits "Save Your Tears," "Heartless" and "Blinding Lights."

Jennifer Salke, head of Amazon Studios, described the "Dawn FM" as "a masterful display of The Weeknd's artistic vision and creative genius," according to Entertainment Tonight.

"We are so proud to work with Abel and XO Records to collaborate across Amazon and share this stunning, brilliant, and immersive visual experience with our global customers," the outlet quoted Salke as saying. "With 'The Weeknd x The Dawn FM' Experience, Prime Video and Amazon Music continue to be destinations where artists can present their most ambitious projects without limits or bounds."

"The Weeknd X Dawn FM Experience" is directed by The Weeknd himself, alongside La Mar C. Taylor and Micah Bickham. XO Records and Contrast Films serve as its producers while Taylor, Jordy Wax and Ed Walker are the executive producers of the project.

Besides watching the music special on Prime Video, fans will also be able to stream music from "The Weeknd x The Dawn FM Experience" as an eight-track live EP exclusively on Amazon Music.
