Congratulations are in order for Elon Musk and Grimes who recently welcomed their son into the world.

The Tesla CEO confirmed on Monday that his newborn had arrived when someone on Twitter asked for an update. He responded, "Mom & baby all good."

After the confirmation, fans wanted to know two things: What does the baby look like and what is the baby's name? Musk answered the first question early on Tuesday, sharing a photo of himself holding his son, who appeared to be letting out a big yawn.

As for the baby's name, it was revealed to be X Æ A-12 -- a name that left Musk's followers confused on both its pronunciation and meaning. Wonderers wouldn't be left in the dark for long though because Grimes, born Claire Elise Boucher, took a moment to breakdown each aspect of her newborn baby's name on Tuesday.

"X, the unknown variable," she explained on Twitter. "Æ, my elven spelling of Ai (love &/or Artificial intelligence)."

"A-12 = precursor to SR-17 (our favorite aircraft). No weapons, no defenses, just speed. Great in battle, but non-violent + (A=Archangel, my favorite song)(metal rat)," she concluded.

Musk clarified via Twitter on Wednesday that Grimes meant to write "SR-71."

The 32-year-old Canadian singer provided no insight into the pronunciation, however, according to ET, one fan guessed it to be "X Ash Archangel" -- as Æ is a typographical character referred to as ash.

X Æ A-12 is the couple's first child together. Musk has five sons with his ex-wife, Canadian author Justine Wilson. Unlike the 48-year-old's newborn, his other children have names that don't leave much up for interpretation. Their names are Damian, Griffin, Xavier, Saxon, and Kai.
