  • Mark Ruffalo plays Bruce Banner, who turns into Hulk in Marvel movies
  • Ruffalo congratulated the cast and crew members of "Shang-Chi"
  • Iron Man and Doctor Strange help Hulk in the animated clip

Marvel star Mark Ruffalo shared a clip from the "What If...?" animated series' upcoming episode, which features a scene from 2018's "Avengers: Infinity War."

The 53-year-old actor, who congratulated the cast and crew members of "Shang-Chi" for the biggest Labor Day box office opening, shared the animated clip featuring the scene where he failed to turn into Hulk to fight against Thanos' children.

"If you’re still here, I hope you can keep a secret about tomorrow’s episode of #WhatIf…" he captioned the video.

In the animated video, Ruffalo's character, Bruce Banner is shown stepping out of the house after Thanos snapped and half of the population disappeared. Suddenly, Thanos' children Ebony Maw and Black Dwarf appear for a fight and Banner slaps himself and asks the "big guy" to show up.

To help Banner, Iron Man and Doctor Strange, who are shown helping Hulk in the movie version too, appear in the scene and pick a fight with Maw and Dwarf. At the end of the clip, Zombie can be seen turning his head towards Banner.

Fans immediately took to the comments section to share their excitement for "Marvel Zombies."

One of the fans wrote, "Janet will bring the virus from the Quantum Realm! I knew it! This fits as Ant-Man and the Wasp happens at the same time as Infinity War!"

However, another fan replied, "If it happens at the same time, then wouldn’t it be too quick for Tony and Doctor Strange to already be zombies (and be working together)? I think the 'Crossbones releasing the virus' theory makes more sense. Gives enough time to have the virus spread."

A fan wrote, "#WhatIf episode 5 is the story I’ve been waiting for ever since I read my first comic book, which was 'Marvel Zombies.' As a lover of horror and superheroes, this was truly a dream come true to witness. What a time to be alive to endure such magnificent creativity. BEST EPISODE!!!"

"Marvel Zombies" is a comic series which was originally released in 2005. It was penned by Robert Kirkman. The new episode will be released by Disney Plus on Wednesday.
