Disney+ has launched, giving people so much content to view, including Jeff Goldblum’s own “The World According to Jeff Goldblum.” The show follows Goldblum as he travels the world, discovering and learning new things.

The former National Geographic show that’s now a Disney+ exclusive centers around the “Thor: Ragnarok” actor and his unique perspective on the world. Goldblum has never been too shy to show his eccentricities in public and in doing so, he’s turned into something more of an actor and jazz musician. People view him as an icon of fashion and personality, making this show is a natural progression for him.

The question, though, is whether or not this is worth watching. The gimmick of the show focuses on his over-the-top quirkiness, according to Decider, as he focuses on the rather mundane.

For example, when the first episode introduces its concept, Goldblum tells audiences who he is before delving into the world of, strangely, sneakers. As the show focuses on how Goldblum’s so effortlessly fascinated by everything around him, some reviewers find the topics of each episode rather plain.

The Hollywood Reporter states that the series isn’t very educational, but is actually surprisingly engaging regardless. They say that the takeaway at the end of each episode isn’t that you learned anything substantial or meaningful, but rather had the pleasure of spending time with Goldblum’s eccentric personality.

The New York Times also gave Goldblum a positive review, with its reviewer sating, "Goldblum's genius is for rendering a child's overwhelming need for attention in a pure, nonirritating form."

Similarly, the Los Angeles Times gave the show props, writing, "Goldblum seems very much in life the talkative eccentric hepcat he is in pictures - it's impossible to tell when he's on script or just telling you what he knows. I would subscribe just to watch more of this."

Not every review is positive, however. RogerEbert.com called the series "most annoying" while AV Club described it as "nothing revolutionary or all that exciting." Still, the program does currently sport a 79% fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Ultimately, a lot of what this show offers can be deemed completely unnecessary, but that doesn’t seem to be the point. Goldblum’s personality is the reason to watch and the consensus is that you, indeed, should watch.
