Kate Middleton has something that Prince William lacks and that’s one of the things he loves about her.

According to Marcia Moody in her book “Kate: A biography” the Duchess of Cambridge and her siblings Pippa and James were brought up in a down-to-earth outdoors family environment in the Berkshire countryside. Middleton, Pippa and James enjoyed camping on holidays in the Lake District. Moody said that it might sound “fiction” but that’s how Middleton’s childhood years were and Prince William loved it.

“Later on, this way of life must have been very attractive to the young William when they were getting to know each other,” Moody wrote.

“While some have derided Kate for the simplicity and domesticity of her background, it has served her well, and it is sure to have been one of the things that was so appealing to William,” the royal author added.

According to Moody, Prince Charles and Princess Diana strove to give Prince William and Prince Harry a warm and loving environment, but their failed marriage and conflict hindered them from realizing it. The Prince and Princess of Wales were a couple at war and despite their best intentions they just couldn’t hide their strained relationship.

On the other hand, Carole and Michael Middleton’s upbringing was “close, stable and simple.” Prince William and Middleton are using the same technique in raising their three children: 5-year-old Prince George, 3-year-old Princess Charlotte and 9-month-old Prince Louis.

In related news, Prince William reportedly complained about Princess Diana embarrassing him. Prince Harry’s brother felt this emotion amid Prince Charles and Princess Diana’s troubled marriage where they constantly made headlines in the newspapers.

Prince William was mortified when he learned about Princess Diana’s infamous “Panorama” interview following her divorce with Prince Charles. The Duke of Cambridge was shocked how his mom spoke about the future king’s affair with Camilla Parker Bowles and her romantic relationship with former Life Guards officer James Hewitt.

Prince William and Prince Harry formed an immediate bond with Hewitt because it was him who taught the two how to ride a horse. He also invited them to the barracks after learning that the two princes were very interested in all things related to the military.

There were rumors that Hewitt is Prince Harry’s biological dad. The cavalry officer already denied it and insisted that the Duke of Sussex was already a toddler when he met Princess Diana.
