It’s known that they have a wonderful relationship with one another, and his devotion to his grandmother reportedly even helped convince him to remain royal at one point of his life. However, there is something about Prince Harry that Queen Elizabeth isn’t fond of, according to a new report.

In the 2017 book “Harry: Life, Loss, and Love,” biographer Katie Nicholl revealed that while Queen Elizabeth approved of Harry growing a beard during his time in the military, she isn’t thrilled that he’s decided to keep the look since that time.

Notably, the Prince’s facial hair began to make an appearance back in 2013 after he went on a charity trek for Walking with the Wounded in Antarctica, and while other members of the family liked the look, Queen Elizabeth didn’t.

“The rest of the family liked it and were taking the mickey, especially his cousin Zara who dubbed him Prince Hairy,” a source said at the time. “But the queen soon let her displeasure be known. She doesn’t mind royal men growing beards when they are away in the armed forces or out in the would like Harry was in the Antarctic, but she expects them to be clean-shaven when they get home.”

Of course, though he respects his grandmother’s opinion, Prince Harry has kept the look and has had it for several events the last few years, including his wedding to Meghan Markle in 2018. Notably, he is one of the few men in the royal family who does sport facial hair. His father, Charles, brother, William, Uncles Andrew and Edward and cousin Peter all have clean-shaven looks.

Though he does keep the facial hair, there is one thing that Prince Harry shares in common with other men in his family tree. Though he is only 34-years-old, Harry, like his brother, has begun to lose his hair.
