  • WhatsApp iOS chat bubble will roll out for beta testers in future updates

WhatsApp is working on bringing modern and redesigned chat bubbles to iOS beta devices.

WhatsApp beta version 2.21.13.2 Android users are now enjoying the redesigned chat bubbles after receiving the update. Now, the social media platform reportedly plans to bring a similar updated design to iOS devices as well.

Reports suggest that the instant messaging app was seen testing the feature for iOS devices in beta versions. Yet the company clarified that the design is for future updates and iOS beta testers may still have to wait to enjoy it although a preview of the feature is currently available, WABetaInfo reported.

The new chat bubble for iOS will be more rounded than the present design. The chat bubbles will come larger than usual and the background color has been changed to make it stand out. The improved background also makes it easier to read the fonts, Gadgets 360 reported.

The chat bubble redesign noticeably features a more sleek design. In a screenshot posted by the site, the chat bubble redesign can be seen on both the light and the dark mode versions of WhatsApp. The image showed how the dark mode and light mode featured a greater amount of contrast.

In June 2021, WhatsApp submitted the beta version 2.21.13.2 through the Google Beta Program. The update was for WhatsApp beta testers on Android devices.

Along with the update, the social media platform introduced improved chat bubbles for Android holders by making them more rounded. The redesigned chat bubble is part of WhatsApp’s continuous effort to bring its Android and iOS users an improved social media experience.

In April, WhatsApp brought improvements to media preview as well as the disappearing message feature on iOS devices. The improvement made it easier for users to view a shared image or video without the need to open it. Messages on group chats can also be set to automatically disappear after seven days.

In August, WhatsApp introduced a feature that allows users to see large previews when sharing links. The update also allowed users to transfer messages between iOS and Android devices.
