Mark your calendars, “Downton Abbey” fans. The movie is only a year away.

The “Downton Abbey” film will hit U.S. theaters on Sept. 20, 2019. Focus Features announced the release dates Wednesday, and they revealed that international fans will see the movie a week earlier on Sept. 13, 2019.

Still, only having to wait a week longer for the film is a step up from the TV delay. While ITV would premiere each season around September, U.S. viewers would have to wait until January for PBS to air the episodes. Often, the Christmas episode would air just before spring started.

Plot details about the “Downton Abbey” movie, which is currently shooting in the U.K., still haven’t been released. However, they have revealed the cast. New characters will be played by Imelda Staunton (“Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix”), Tuppence Middleton (“Sense8”), Kate Phillips (“Peaky Blinders”), Geraldine James (“Anne with an E”), David Haig (“Killing Eve”) and Stephen Campbell Moore (“The History Boys”).

Of course, most of the original cast will return. Expect to see Robert (Hugh Bonneville), Edith (Laura Carmichael), Carson (Jim Carter), Mr. Bates (Brendan Coyle), Mary (Michelle Dockery), Mr. Molesley (Kevin Doyle), Anna (Joanne Froggatt), Henry (Matthew Goode), Bertie (Harry Hadden-Paton), Thomas (Robert James-Collier), Tom (Allen Leech), Mrs. Hughes (Phyllis Logan), Cora (Elizabeth McGovern), Daisy (Sophie McShera), Mrs. Patmore (Lesley Nicol), Isobel (Penelope Wilton) and Violet (Maggie Smith).

Not everyone can make fit into the movie, though. Lily James revealed that “Downton Abbey” lovers shouldn’t expect to see Rose in the feature film. “My character Rose moved off to New York, so it would be farfetched to bring her back,” James explained to People in July.

“I would have loved to have come back for a scene, but for a movie it can’t be like a Christmas special and it needs to be a focused storyline,” James added. “There was no space for Rose.”

The “Downton Abbey” movie started filming in England earlier this month. As previously reported, Michael Engler, who directed the series finale as well as several other episodes, will helm the movie. Creator Julian Fellowes has penned the script.
