Coming off the end of New York Comic Con, there’s still some out-of-this-world fun to be had. Like, say, the trailer for “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” premiering on Monday during Monday Night Football.

It might be the Minnesota Vikings versus the Chicago Bears during Monday Night Football this week, but somehow, this time, the game won’t be the most exciting part of the broadcast.

During halftime, the first full trailer for “Stars Wars: The Last Jedi,” which debuts in theaters on Dec. 15, will be premiering and it doesn’t get much more exhilarating than that.

The trailer for this eighth installment of the “Star Wars” franchise will likely give fans a little preview of Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) teaching Rey (Daisy Ridley) in the ways of the Force, picking up around where 2015’s “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” left off.

While this is the first time that a full trailer of the film will be shown, a teaser trailer was released back in April, but it only gave the tiniest of glimpses of the film. Plus, another short, 11-second teaser dropped on Sunday on the “Star Wars” Twitter page when the account announced that the trailer would be premiering on Monday.

The exact time the trailer will drop is still to be determined, but it will air during halftime of Monday Night Football and the game starts at 8:15 p.m. EDT/5:15 PDT on ESPN.

If you prefer to watch the trailer surrounded by fellow “Star Wars” fans and happen to be in California, the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, will be showing the “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” trailer on a large screen outside of the AMC Downtown Disney 12 Theatres in the Downtown Disney District on Monday. There will be games, music and giveaways starting at 5 p.m. to hold everyone over until the trailer release.

No matter where you end up watching the trailer, it will surely make you want to see the film, even more than you probably already did. Which is why it’s a good thing that tickets will go on sale for it online right after the game.

Besides the trailer dropping and tickets going on sale for the movie on Monday, there’s a lot more to be excited about as “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” approaches its Dec. 15 release. The franchise announced it will be having a whole assortment of special events, offers and giveaways surrounding the release of the film.

Fans who want to be the first ones to be able to see the film can see a showing on Dec. 14 at 6 p.m. local time, an hour earlier than regular public showings, by attending one of three special events on that Thursday: An Opening Night Fan Event, a “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” Double Feature or a “Star Wars” Marathon featuring all eight movies. These events will also include exclusive content and “Star Wars” collectible cards.

“Star Wars: The Last Jedi” comes out in theaters on Dec. 15 with early showings on Dec. 14.
