Caroline Forbes' love life might not be great on "The Vampire Diaries," but actress Candice Accola, 27, has plenty to celebrate. Accola married Joe King, 34, in a ceremony in New Orleans Saturday (Oct. 18), People reported.

King’s name might not be familiar to many “The Vampire Diaries” fans, but they might recognize his face. He is the guitarist for The Fray, a rock band with several Billboard Hot 100 hits, including its latest single “Love Don’t Die.” The “Love Don’t Die” music video even featured Accola. In the video, King started a bar brawl to defend Accola’s honor and the two share a kiss.

King also has a solo side project. In 2013, he released an EP titled “Breaking” under the artist name KING. He was able to show off his vocal skills on the six-song album.

King was previously married in 1999 at age 19, HitFix reported. He shares two daughters, Ava and Elise, with ex-wife Julie, Us Weekly reported.

King and Accola met at a Superbowl party in 2011, but Accola was a little too shy to show her interest. Her “The Vampire Diaries” co-star Nina Dobrev helped her out.

“I was too chicken to give him my number, so Nina did," Accola told People.

The two were engaged in May 2013. Accola announced their engagement on Instagram with a photo that showed off her diamond ring and a caption that read, “Cheers from the future Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Aaron King.”

People reported Accola’s co-stars, Michael Trevino, Kat Graham, Claire Holt and Paul Wesley, all attended the wedding, and Kayla Ewell (known to “The Vampire Diaries” fans as Vicki) was a bridesmaid.
