The chief financial officer of food processing company Tyson Foods was arrested Sunday after he was found intoxicated and asleep in a random woman's bed around 2 a.m.

John Tyson, 32, was arrested in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and charged with public intoxication and criminal trespassing. He was booked in Washington County jail and released on Sunday evening, according to local media.

"We're aware of the incident and as this is a personal matter, we have no additional comment," Tyson Foods said in an email to CNN.

Tyson is the son of the chairman of Tyson Foods and the great-grandson of the founder.

The woman who lives in the home told police she found Tyson sleeping in her bed and believes he got inside because she left her front door unlocked.

Police identified Tyson by grabbing his wallet and ID out of his sleeping body. Police attempted to wake Tyson up and speak with him but after sitting up for a moment he laid back down to go to sleep, according to reports.

Police also explained how Tyson's breath smelled of alcohol and he was unable to verbally respond.

Tyson was appointed to the CFO position in late September. He also serves as executive vice president. He joined the Tyson Foods team in 2019.

John has a bachelor's degree in Economics from Harvard University and a Master of Business Administration Degree from Stanford University.

His father is Tyson board chairman John H. Tyson and he is the great-grandson of founder John W. Tyson.

John R. Tyson is a lecturer at the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas. He was arrested about a mile away from the school's stadium.

Video showed him wearing just boxers after being booked into jail.
