“NYPD Blue” star Richard Bartlett Schroder Jr., more popularly known as Ricky Schroder, was arrested Wednesday from his home in Topanga, California, for felony domestic violence.

The police responded to Schroder’s home at 12:43 a.m. local time (3:43 a.m. EDT) after receiving reports of a physical altercation between him and his girlfriend. Sources told TMZ that his girlfriend refused treatment at the scene. He was booked at the Malibu Lost Hills police station and was released on a $50,000 bond.

The actor was arrested before on similar charges on April 2. A little after midnight, deputies responded to his house at the time and arrested him on domestic violence charges. The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office declined to prosecute him due to lack of sufficient evidence. He was released on bail, Entertainment Tonight reported.

It was unclear who Schroder was dating both times when he was arrested. His estranged wife, Andrea Schroder, filed for divorce three years ago, after almost 24 years of marriage.

According to Andrea’s IMDB profile, she was born and raised in Canada. She became a successful interior designer and a film/television producer. She appeared on television shows like “Top Design” and “Home & Family” and produced the 2013 series “Starting Strong.” She also co-wrote and produced the film “Our Wild Hearts” (2013). She gained widespread popularity after her appearance on the Lifetime series “Growing Up Supermodel” with two of her daughters, Cambrie and Faith Schroder.

Andrea is the CEO of the interior designing company Plan A Designs and the owner of Andrea Schroder Natural Candles and Fragrances. She holds a degree of master perfumer from the French institution ISIPCA. She volunteered in a number of charities including ChildHelp and Mending Kids, according to her LinkedIn profile.

She married Ricky in 1992 after meeting him the previous year when he was filming the television movie “Blood River” in Canada. The couple has four children - Cambrie, Faith, Luke and Holden.

Just weeks ahead of their 24th wedding anniversary, Andrea filed for divorce on Sept. 9, 2016 in the Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences. Apart from spousal support, Ricky’s estranged wife also sought sole custody of their daughter, Faith.

It was later reported the couple had separated in June 2016, months before she filed for divorce.

In an Instagram post from July 2016, Andrea wrote an emotional caption to a photo of herself. “Life is moving so fast and there are moments when I grieve the stages of life that I used to dream about that now have passed; like getting married, having a baby, building a home, first day of school or last day of college. These moments have all come and gone at lightning speed. So now I walk into a new, less predictable future that midlife brings, carrying faith, hope and love,” the caption said.
