Reese Witherspoon’s ex-husband Ryan Phillippe is walking on thin ice after his ex-girlfriend Elsie Hewitt asked a judge presiding over their case to allow her to access records of the actor’s past domestic violence accusations.

Over the weekend, The Blast obtained court documents filed by Hewitt in court in relation to her ongoing legal dispute with the “Cruel Intentions” actor. This time, she is asking a judge to enable her to seek records from the Los Angeles Police Department of previous domestic violence claims against Phillippe.

Apparently, she strongly believes that the actor’s ex-fiancée, Paulina Slagter, may have also accused Phillippe of domestic violence during their relationship. Finding any could set a precedent for the assault case she filed against her ex-boyfriend two years ago.

Interestingly, Phillippe is adamantly blocking Hewitt’s efforts to obtain any domestic violence accusation reports made against him. The actor has been fighting the subpoenas, claiming his ex has no right to access his past records.

Phillippe’s action makes it seem as though he’s trying to conceal something and this is what Hewitt pointed out in her latest filing. According to her, the “Shooter” star “has submitted false pleadings to this Court and has lied under oath about the same.”

She is particularly referring to Phillippe’s deposition in which he maintained that there’s been no police report or restraining order ever filed against him aside from the one made by Hewitt. Witherspoon’s baby daddy also maintained that he has never been investigated by the LAPD.

The latest court documents are related to the case Hewitt filed against Phillippe in 2017. At the time, she claimed that her ex “hit,” “kicked,” “punched” and “threw [her] down flight of stairs” on July 4 of that year. She also claimed that she obtained injuries on her “legs, back, arms, shoulder and face.”

In the lawsuit Hewitt filed, she also alleged that Phillippe had been abusing drugs such as “cocaine, ecstasy, psychedelic mushrooms and steroids.” She added that her ex tried to contact her after the assault and she feared that he might cause her more injuries.

Meanwhile, Phillippe has denied all of the accusations made against him. He said that he has been very kind and respectful toward Hewitt during their relationship and she’s only filed the lawsuit because she’s trying to extort him.
