She just barely escaped death and has since had to fend off some tough questions about her time with Ben. However, the actress behind Ciara Brady on “Days of Our Lives” still thinks her most recent storyline on the NBC soap was one of her best.

In an interview with International Business Times, Victoria Konefal revealed that of the storylines she has seen unfold since she debuted in the role of Ciara Brady in December 2017, her most recent one, which featured her character being in an abandoned cabin with a broken leg and allegedly reformed serial killer Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson), was her favorite.

“Honestly, my favorite storyline so far has been the whole ‘in the cabin’ storyline,” she told IBT. “That’s when things really heat up for Ciara, and it the first kind of dangerous situation she has been in.”

Dangerous was a bit of an understatement when it came to the story, as fans watched Ben begin to lose his cool again after he ran out of his medications. Not long after Ciara managed to calm him down and he left to get his medications refilled, the cabin went on fire, and she was trapped inside. Rafe (Galen Gering) and Hope (Kristian Alfonso) were able to rescue her and Ben was arrested under the assumption he started the blaze to kill her. He has since sworn he didn’t, but Ciara is the only one who believes him.

However the story continues to play out, and whether Ciara could be in any future danger remains to be seen. Konefal though should still be around for a while to keep seeing things play out.

Though some actors don’t opt to stick in a role on a soap for very long, Konefal told IBT that provided she does get to have some chances to seek other roles when she wants, she doesn’t see a reason why she would leave the daytime series anytime soon.

“I love the role and Ciara and I love watching her grow and growing with her,” she said. “I would want to stay with her as long as I can. But I do miss movies, so as long as I can integrate movies and other projects in my schedule, then I don’t see a problem.”

Fans can catch Konefal on “Days of Our Lives,” airing weekdays on NBC.
