The past few months have been an interesting time for Camila Cabello. Not only did she leave Fifth Harmony, but she has released some solo music. Despite her recent success, the singer found herself in tears on her 20th birthday.

On Friday, Cabello took to Twitter to post about her weird tradition that involves Ed Sheeran songs. “One of my favorite pastimes since I was 15 is recording myself crying to ed Sheeran’s music, the tradition continues,” she tweeted.

The singer has always been open about her love for Sheeran as an artist. During an interview with Seventeen magazine, Cabello admitted that it is a dream of hers to one day collaborate with the “Shape of You” singer.

“He’s incredible at putting love, emotion, and feeling into words. I would love to see him go into a room and watch how he makes his magic. He always talks about how he loves making songs from the heart, and that’s something that I’ve pushed myself to do in my songwriting process, too," she told the publication.

Despite her tears for Sheeran’s talent, it looks like Cabello kicked off her 20th year surrounded by those close to her. The songstress admitted to getting a head start on the celebration by posting a photo of herself and some pals in the studio, one of the friends being Pharrell Williams.

In the photo, the group smiled at the camera while several of them held onto cupcakes. Cabello stuck out her tongue, which had frosting on it, for the picture.

Being that the group was photographed in studio, Cabello and Pharrell could be working on some new music. And seeing as Cabello posted that the Sheeran crying tradition continues during her time in the studio, maybe her tears will be heard on her next record.

Only time will tell, for now. It looks like Cabello has a fun birthday celebration ahead of her.
