Devoted fans of the Dunphy family hoping to watch Season 11, Episode 7 of “Modern Family” tonight will have to wait. ABC will not be airing a new installment of the final season this week.

In its place, fans can expect to see the 53rd Annual Country Music Awards, hosted by Carrie Underwood, Reba McIntyre and Dolly Parton and airing beginning at 8 p.m. EST.

“Modern Family” will return on Nov. 20 with a brand-new Thanksgiving-themed episode called “The Last Thanksgiving.” The episode was written by creators of the show, Steven Levitan and Christopher Lloyd.

In “The Last Thanksgiving”, “Cameron and Mitchell's friends mistakenly assume they have split up and have definitely chosen a side; and Haley attempts to cook Thanksgiving dinner as a thank you for Claire and Phil's support with the twins. Meanwhile, Jay invites Phil and Dylan out to fly his model plane, and Phil thinks this is his chance to reclaim his dignity after their first outing 10 years ago went so wrong,” according to the episode’s synopsis.

After a decade of being on TV, “Modern Family” will be ending with season 11. The show aired its 200th episode in 2018, a milestone that is becoming rarer for major network sitcoms to accomplish, according to Fortune.

Fortune also reported that during their 2011-2012 season, the series was the most popular scripted show. When “Modern Family” was at its peak, the show averaged more than 10 million viewers a week.

“Modern Family” returns with Season 11, Episode 7 on Wednesday, Nov. 20, on ABC at 8 p.m. EST.
