Kate Middleton was recently dubbed as a more normal working mom compared to Meghan Markle. In fact, one of her surprising decisions after the birth of Prince George was praised by the public.

After Prince George was born in 2013, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge agreed that they didn’t want to hire a nanny for their son. However, the royal couple wanted to hire a housekeeper.

During an interview with the Daily Telegraph, royal biographer Penny Junor said that Middleton is like a normal working mom because she’s very hands-on. She also relies more on her parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, for help in raising her children instead of their nannies.

However, the same cannot be said about Markle. Since the Duchess of Sussex’s mom is living in Los Angeles, the “Suits” alum doesn’t have the physical support and help in raising her son, Archie Harrison. This may be one of the reasons why Markle and Prince Harry have decided to hire a nanny for Archie very early on.

But even though this is the case, Markle may still be regarded as a hands-on mom. However, she never sacrificed her personal life for her son.

“You get the impression they [Meghan and Harry] are a very modern couple and she has things she wants to do. She was at Wimbledon very early on. Most mothers would still be stealing moments of sleep at that stage,” Junor said.

Meanwhile, Markle and Middleton also have very different parenting styles. According to Express, the Duchess of Cambridge gets down on the level of her young children when talking to them. However, Markle’s son is still very young that’s why she’s not seen lowering herself down when talking to Archie.

Body language expert Judi James also said that Middleton tends to give Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis more space. Markle, on the other hand, held on to Archie protectively while at Prince Harry’s charity polo match.
