Kate Middleton and Prince William are still sending out cards to thank royal fans for congratulating them on Prince Louis’ baptism months ago.

Prince Louis, the youngest child of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, was born on April 23. His christening took place on July 9. Four months after the baptism took place, the doting parents of Prince Louis still didn’t finish sending out thank you cards.

Joe Gamp, a journalist for Express, revealed that Prince William and Middleton included the second note in the envelopes they sent out to royal fans.

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge hope you will understand that, due to the enormous volume of correspondence received in the last few months, it has not been possible to reply to you until now,” it read.

Prince William and Middleton’s thank you cards also featured an adorable photo of Prince Louis laughing while being carried by the mom of three in the gardens of Clarence House.

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were touched that you took the trouble to write on the occasion of the baptism of their son, Prince Louis. Their Royal Highnesses are so grateful for all the wonderful messages they have received and send you their warmest thanks and best wishes,” the card read.

In related news, Prince Louis’ christening date was reportedly chosen to honor Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. According to Harper’s Bazaar, July 9, 1947, was the date that the Duke of Edinburgh and the Queen announced their engagement to the public.

However, there are some speculations suggesting that the Queen and Prince Philip got engaged in 1946, but it was only a year later that they told everyone about it. In 1946, the couple released a beautiful black and white photo of the two of them staring lovingly into each other’s eyes. Royal fans believe that this was their way of indirectly revealing that they’ve already gotten engaged.
