Prince Harry has been determined to protect Meghan Markle from the negative reports in the press but now that the Duke of Sussex realizes his wife is going through the same turmoil Princess Diana once suffered, he is beginning to feel guilty.

During a chat with Express UK, royal commentator Melania Bromley revealed Prince Harry has become concerned about Meghan’s happiness and how it could affect their future together.

“This comes at a time when she’s made massive changes in her life – she’s moved countries, she’s given up her job, she’s now pregnant, she doesn’t have her friends around her, she’s got massive unrest within her family,” she explained.

“There are so many stress factors it wouldn’t be surprising if she had feelings of misery. Harry apparently feels very guilty about the fact – really, it’s becoming a repeat of what his mum suffered.”

Although Meghan is no stranger to the spotlight thanks to her role of “Suits,” the actress was unprepared for the negative attention she received after she married into the royal family.

“Diana had the same thing, it just wasn’t quite as loud because the media landscape looked very different at the time. I can imagine that for Harry, that must make him feel very protective of his wife because we know what happened to Diana in the end,” Bromley said.

Prince Harry and Meghan are expected to welcome their first child together in the Spring of 2019.
