The British royal family could stop Camilla Parker Bowles from being crowned queen when Prince Charles becomes king due to a shocking reason.

Former royal butler Grant Harrold recently told Express that even though Prince Charles had always wanted his wife to become Princess Consort, his plans could change due to a public outcry.

“Prince Charles made it very clear that when he was King, she’d be Princess Consort. In fact, the palace actually stated it. But recently somebody told me they’ve taken that away and it created speculation as to whether when the prince becomes king, will she then be queen?” he said.

Harrold also said that it’s quite difficult to predict what will happen in the future because just like with the issue on expenses, the public has very strong opinions and views.

A few weeks ago, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle came under fire after reports swirled that they used such a huge sum of money to renovate their Windsor Home. The public shared their thoughts on the matter especially since the money that the royal couple used for the renovations came from the public’s taxes.

Additionally, royal fans still have a strong attachment to the late Princess Diana. And this could be another reason why criticisms may arise should Camilla be crowned as the next Queen.

“Seen strictly on paper, and what people may not realize, is that she is actually the Princess of Wales. She is married to the prince and one of the titles she assumed was Princess of Wales… She’s never used it out of respect, that’s why she went with the other title – Princess Diana was also the Duchess of Cornwall but we knew her as that,” Harrold said.

When the time comes for Prince Charles to be crowned as King, the former royal butler said that he believes that things will be handled carefully. But when the Royal Family learns that there’s a public outcry, they may possibly not give the title of Queen to Camilla.
