Actor Will Smith is all set to host the latest Netflix comedy special!

The streaming giant announced Wednesday that Smith will host and star in his first-ever variety comedy special, which will be launched later this year. The company said the show will be one hour long.

The comedy special will include "celebrity guests, noteworthy conversation, comedic sketches, musical performances, and more."

Fans were excited about the announcement. One person praised the actor for "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Reunion," which was aired in December 2020.

"I gotta give him credit. The Fresh Prince reunion was the best of its kind," the fan wrote. "He buried the hatchet with Janet Hubert and invited her back to reminisce with the cast in a way that wasn't overbearing 'ahem' Friends. I think he deserves more praise as of late. Can't wait for this."

Another fan wrote, "I'm sure comedian Mo Amer will be on it. Smith raved about his stand-up last year..."

Besides hosting the special, the 52-year-old actor will also serve as an executive producer for the show under Westbrook Studios, which was founded in 2019 by Jada Pinkett Smith. Terence Carter, Miguel Melendez and Sahara Bushue are the other executive producers.

Smith has a number of projects under his belt right now. The actor will be seen in the Disney+ adventure documentary "Welcome to Earth," which is currently under post-production. Previously, he hosted a television series, "Amend: The Fight For America," which was released on Feb. 17.

He will be part of the fourth installment of "Bad Boys 4," which is currently under pre-production.

The actor will also feature in "King Richard," "The Council" and "Bright 2." Smith is also documenting his fitness journey for an unscripted docuseries, titled "Best Shape of My Life," for YouTube.

The series will feature popular YouTube content creators, fitness experts and professional athletes. However, no names have been disclosed yet. The six-part series documentary is slated to release next year.
