A 33-year-old mom of three in Kazakhstan died after a communications mishap resulted in her leaping off a building without a secured "free-flying" cord.

Yevgenia Leontyeva fell 82 feet to her death while she was partaking in "rope free-flying" — a stunt similar to bungee jumping — from the roof of a hotel in the Kazakh city of Karaganda Sunday, the New York Post reported.

The fall of the woman, who was described in local reports as an experienced jumper, was captured in a tourist video.

Leontyeva and a friend reportedly posted "Live it up" and "We're going to fly" on social media prior to the jump, according to news outlet East2West.

The woman was allegedly given the go-ahead to take the leap before her safety rope could be fastened to a tree by the organizer, which meant he was holding the lifeline in his hand when Leontyeva took the plunge.

The jump resulted in Leontyeva plummeting 82 feet to the ground below and being dragged 12 feet sideways into a wall. The force of her fall pulled the organizer holding her rope to the floor, the unedited footage of the incident showed.

Leontyeva was immediately taken to the hospital, where she received emergency surgery.

"The patient was operated on," a local health spokesman was quoted as saying.

"A craniotomy was performed and the removal of the hematoma," he explained.

Leontyeva, however, later succumbed to her injuries.

"Despite the ongoing medical measures, the patient died," a local health spokesperson told East2West.

Authorities are investigating the woman's death amid suspicion of "negligence" by the extreme sports company, according to the report. The organizers could face up to 40 days behind bars if found guilty.

Daniel "Dan" Osman, an extreme sports practitioner who pioneered rope free-flying, died in a similar manner when he attempted to carry out a rope jumping stunt in California's Yosemite National Park in November 1998. He ended up falling to his death from the park's Leaning Tower rock formation when his rope failed.
