Woman Says Boyfriend Attacked Her With Ketchup Packets For Wrong Food Order

An "angry" Florida man was arrested for pelting his girlfriend in the "head and face area" with sweet and sour sauce packets because she had "bought the wrong food from McDonald's." According to a felony battery complaint, Jesus Oscar Ferrer Jr., 30, attacked his girlfriend in the couple's motel room in Tampa.

Pasco County deputies responded Sunday evening to a location on Gall Boulevard in Zephyrhills after being advised by the victim that a "physical altercation" had occurred, WFLA reported.

Police said the man got angry after his girlfriend, with whom he has a child, got the wrong food for him. After a heated argument, the duo got involved in a scuffle following which Ferrer allegedly pinned his girlfriend to the ground.

He "placed his palm on her face and pressed her head into the ground using his body weight." The woman fought back by ripping off part of his beard, the complaint said, according to Fox News.

At that point, she "ripped a chunk of the Defendant's beard from his face during the struggle, and this is when he let her up," according to the affidavit. Police at the scene said that marks on the victim's body were "consistent with her statements."

By the time officers arrived at the scene, Ferrer had fled the motel. According to the complaint, cited by the Smoking Gun, he was arrested and booked into the Pasco County jail on a charge of felony battery.

This is not the first time Ferrer had a run-in with law enforcement. Earlier this year, he was charged with battery involving the same woman at another motel. At the time, Ferrer pleaded no contest to the misdemeanor charge. He was sentenced to time served and paid $750 in fines and court costs, according to the report.

In another incident, a Florida man was charged with battery in May after slapping his girlfriend with a cheeseburger. Authorities said Kyle Jones' live-in girlfriend called Martin County sheriff's deputies claiming she woke up to her boyfriend slapping her in the face with a cheeseburger.
