Princess Diana’s marriage to Prince Charles was short-lived and royal fans are wondering if things would’ve been different for her if she wed Prince Andrew.

It has become common knowledge that Princess Diana and Prince Andrew were good friends. In fact, there are even rumors suggesting that the Princess of Wales really wanted to marry Prince Andrew and not Prince Charles.

But on the online forum site Quora, royal fans said that they don’t think the marriage would’ve lasted regardless if Princess Diana ended up with Prince Charles or Prince Andrew.

Hninzi Lwin, a former pediatrician at Greater Baltimore Medical Center 1 said that Princess Diana’s former lover, James Hewitt, said that the mom of two wanted constant attention and would call him on the phone multiple times a day.

“If you look at Diana’s lovers, they all ran away from her in the end. None of them wanted to marry her except Dodi who was still in the early phase… Unusual for a woman who was so ravishingly beautiful… Poor Charles never had time to find out,” he said.

Lisa Niehoff, a royalist since the 1970s, said that Princess Diana wouldn’t have made anyone a good husband because she was mentally unstable.

“And despite what she claims, that her problems didn’t start until her honeymoon, her emotional traumas and dramas would have continued on throughout her life despite who she married. This all stems back to her childhood and she would have made any husband absolutely miserable,” she said.

But several years ago, Princess Diana confessed about her true feelings for Prince Andrew. Royal author Andrew Morton said in his book “Andrew: The Playboy Prince” that the two royals first met each other at Sandringham.

Betty Andrews, Princess Diana’s former housekeeper, also said that Princess Diana and Prince Andrew seemed like a good match because they were closer in age and were also both good looking.
