Becky Lynch became the first women’s double champion when she won the SmackDown Live and Raw women’s titles at WrestleMania 35 after beating Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair in the main event. The Irishwoman began her feud with Rousey ahead of SummerSlam in 2018 and continues it to this day despite beating her rival at the main event of World Wrestling Entertainment’s (WWE) flagship show.

The 32-year-old, who refers to herself as "The Man", has been having a war of words with the former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) women’s bantamweight champion almost since her arrival in WWE. It reached a crescendo in the weeks leading up to WrestleMania with both the pro-wrestlers not only targeting each other, but also people close to them.

Lynch has not stopped the taunting even after WrestleMania as she is now claiming that Rousey, who is expected to take a sabbatical from WWE, cannot cope with the hectic schedule despite being “part-time” for the first four months of her career in the promotion. She also accused the former UFC champion of being handed everything rather than having to earn it like the Irishwoman.

“Only four months after having a part-time schedule, after making her debut at WrestleMania — having been on the cover of everything, just handed everything, she was crying in her kitchen about how she couldn’t make her husband breakfast,” Lynch told Sports Illustrated. “She couldn’t hack our schedule. Yet we do this every single night, 52 weeks a year, yet she couldn’t handle it for four months.”

Rousey was expected to make one final appearance before her sabbatical on Monday Night Raw, the night after WrestleMania, but a hand injury forced her to skip the televised show. And Lynch was quick to pick up on that and share a tweet about the fragility of the UFC Hall of Famer’s hand by referencing a comment from SummerSlam last year when Lynch broke her nose after a punch from Nia Jax.

Lynch is hoping to make everyone proud as the new double-champion and indicated that she will make herself be heard at every opportunity in the coming weeks. But there is no information at the moment about who her next opponent will be.

“I approach this as a political campaign,” explained Lynch. “Any time I’ve the opportunity to get my voice out there, get myself heard and my message across, I use it. I want to make sure I do the people proud.”

The WWE has begun a feud between Lynch and Lacey Evans, who assaulted the Irishwoman during Raw and SmackDown with the former turning out into an all-out brawl. Evans is still untested in the ring, with all her cameo appearances coming just as a walk down the ramp more as a fashion model than a pro-wrestler.
