  • Andrade and Charlotte went out as a couple during the Wrestlemania week
  • Andrade asked Charlotte the million-dollar question on new year’s eve
  • Both wrestlers took to social media their excitement over their engagement

More than the title that he’s won against a day after Christmas, WWE wrestler Andrade announced his engagement to fellow wrestling star Charlotte Flair, the daughter of Hall of Famer Ric Flair.

On their separate social media posts, Andrade went to Twitter, saying “She said siiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!”.

Flair, a second-generation wrestler, posted on her Instagram a photo of two of them together with a short but, for Andrade, is all he needed to hear.

The couple was open about their relationship since they went to the red carpet together as a couple in April during the WrestleMania weekend. It was their first-ever appearance as a couple after speculations that the two have something going on.

There were rumors that the two were already engaged earlier than a couple of days ago. Per a tweet by ProSportsExtra’s Brad Shepard, Charlotte, whose real name is Ashley Fliehr, made a request for Andrade to be brought back to SmackDown after being drafted to RAW. Those kinds of requests, though, will only be granted to couple who are married or engaged.

After the engagement of his eldest daughter, “The Nature Boy” took to social media his congratulatory message for the couple. The 70-year old Flair described the life event of Charlotte as a great way to start the new year.

Andrade, 30, won the United States championship during a WWE Event in Madison Square Garden in December 26 against fellow Mexican Rey Mysterio. The title is his first major title in the WWE after winning the NXT championship in 2017.

Flair, meanwhile, was the first superstar to announce their participation to the upcoming Women’s Royal Rumble match. The winner of the match will earn a spot at Wrestlemania 36 on April 5 and take a shot on a women’s title of her choice.
