Rapper Yo Gotti has been named as a person of interest in Tuesday’s shooting in Loews Hotel in Hollywood that left rapper Young Dolph in critical condition.

According to reports, Gotti and Dolph were in the hotel when their crews got into some sort of disagreement. Shots were fired outside the hotel sometime later, TMZ reported. The report also said witnesses at the scene told officers that Gotti was involved in the shooting.

This is not the first time that the two Memphis rappers have been entangled in a public row. Their feud reportedly started when Dolph declined a record deal with Gotti in 2014, saying he would rather see his own investment in himself through than latch onto another artist’s movement. However, Gotti has never confirmed this as the root of the feud. The two rappers have also criticized each other on social media over the years.

It is also believed Dolph naming his 2016 album, “King of Memphis,” is a dig at Gotti who has repeatedly referred to himself with the name.

Gotti broke into the rap music industry with the release of his first major studio album “Live from the Kitchen” in 2012. According to the website, Celebrity Net Worth, the rapper and producer has an estimated net worth of $5 million.

After its release, the Gazette Review reported the album had sold over 16,000 copies domestically. The album also peaked at number four on both the Top R&B and Hip Hop Album Chart and the Top Rap Albums Chart. It is estimated that Yo Gotti earned approximately $75,000 altogether from its record sales, pegging his annual income in 2012 at almost $780,000.

It is said that he took a home worth $1.02 million in 2013 and $1.17 million in 2014 from the album, with his income increasing the following year making it approximately $1.3 million in 2015. Over the years, he was also a part of several concert tours and performances across the country, each of which reportedly earned him about $50,000.

In 2016, with the release of his album “The Art of Hustle,” Gotti earned yet another large sum, estimated to be $200,000 more than what his earlier album had brought him. The Gazette Review puts his net worth for 2017 at $3.4 million

In early 2010, Gotti also founded his own record label — The Collective Music Group. He currently heads the company as its CEO and the president. According to the music website, Trap World Hip Hop, he owns several cars including Lamborghinis, Rolls Royces, Jeeps and a Ferrari 458 Spider.

It is not known if the police have made any move to question the rapper in connection with Dolph’s shooting. Los Angeles Police Department initially described the shooter as a black man last seen in a gold Cadillac Escalade. Later, CW affiliate KTLA reported the police were looking for two black men and a Hispanic man. CCTV footage later showed a man being detained by the police. However, it is not known if he is the shooter.

Meanwhile, KTLA reported Dolph was transported to medical care and had to undergo surgery. He was said to be in a critical condition.
