"The Young and the Restless"
Tessa will be forced to ask for some unexpected help on "The Young and the Restless." CBS

She's always been dodgy about her past and hasn't opened up about what happened before she came to Genoa City. Now, as that same past potentially threatens to expose itself, Tessa will turn to a familiar face for help on the Aug. 11, 2017 episode of "The Young and the Restless."

Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) has previously raised some eyebrows over her insistence that her previous romance with fellow Genoa City transplant Zacjh (Ryan Ashton) ended badly, but she refused to go into more detail and no one else has brought it up since. She has even started making a career as a singer in town, signing with Devon's (Bryton James) record label. However, she became increasingly more distracted by her phone during her first recording session, and has also since learned that boyfriend Noah's (Robert Adamson) mother Sharon (Sharon Case) has been looking into a potential sex ring in town, with a girl named Crystal (Morgan Obenreder) as her focus. Hearing the name caused Tessa to panic, and now, her reason why could be revealed.

Despite not wanting anything to do with Zach since they both got to town, Tessa will seek out the man from her past and ask him for help as she tries to prevent a major situation from unfolding.

"I'm desperate Zack. I need your help," she says in a preview clip.

Tessa will then reveal that the same Crystal Sharon has been trying to help is her sister, who left home and has since been forced into having sex for money as a result. Though it's unclear just what the two of them may have been involved in when they were a couple and living in Chicago, Tessa will hope Zach still has some ties to their old life, and believes that if he does, he can use those connections now.

However, Zach will insist that he left that old life behind, just like she did, and a disappointed Tessa will walk away. When she does however, Zach may make a move that's unexpected though, as it could be one which proves he isn't as innocent as he claims.

Meanwhile, as she tries to think of a way to help her sister, Tessa will undergo another upheaval in her personal life. Since she came to town, she has moved in with Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and worked as her personal assistant. However, not that Nikki and Victor (Eric Braden) have split up, Nikki has decided to move out of the Ranch, and her leaving also puts Tessa's living arrangement in jeopardy. She will luckily be given a new place to stay with Sharon, but that could also put her in more harm of her secrets getting out, as she will be living with the woman who could expose her past, if it is connected to the current situation with her sister.

"The Young and the Restless" airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
