Cane and Juliet on "The Young and the Restless"
Cane (Daniel Goddard) confesses everything he did to Juliet (Laur Allen) on the Aug. 7, 2017 episode of “The Young and the Restless.” CBS

Every secret about everything he has done has finally come to light and he is paying the consequences. Now, in the Monday, Aug. 7 episode of “The Young and the Restless,” Cane will come clean to the one person who still needs to hear all of the facts.

Cane’s (Daniel Goddard) actions have led to a number of events in Genoa City, none of them pleasant on the CBS soap. After he bribed a cameraman to shoot and edit different footage for the hockey deal in an effort to take down Billy (Jason Thompson) in Los Angeles, everything else spiraled out of control in his life. Juliet (Laur Allen) was fired over the issue, leading to her suing Brash and Sassy and him for sexual harassment, using the night they slept together in Tokyo as the basis of her suit. His attempt to hide his affair was ended when Juliet revealed she was pregnant and that he was the father of her child, and those lies eventually cost him his job as well. Then, after he was forced to pay the cameraman $25,000 in blackmail money, his secret about nearly torching the deal was also outed.

Now, Cane has been kicked out by his wife, Lily (Christel Khalil), because with everything else, she couldn’t forgive his taking money from their kids’ school fund to pay off a blackmailer. As he settles in at The Club, where he is now staying, he will run in to Juliet, and when she initially expresses no desire to see him, he will tell her that he has information for her, and repeat his request that she sit down and talk to him.

“It’s inevitable that we’ll run into each other around here,” he says in a preview clip. “So you might as well hear this from me.”

Cane will then tell Juliet how he was actually responsible for everything that happened to both of them, and she will initially be enraged because of the things he cost her. However, when he reveals that he too is paying for it, because not only has he lost his kids and the home he had with his wife, but since he was fired from Brash and Sassy, he has also become unemployable anywhere else because Victoria (Amelia Heinle) blackballed him. Juliet will then feel some sympathy for him and everything he’s suffered, and will try to make him feel better with an update about their own child, the one she told him he would never have to worry about raising because she didn’t want anything from him.

The conversation could be a turning point for the two, as Cane’s losing everything and now, being in the same place as Juliet could help them grow closer. If he thinks he has genuinely lost his family and his marriage, he could decide to seek out something new in order to feel more stability. Since Juliet is carrying his child, he may decide that reaching out to her could be his best chance.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
