Zayn Malik, the former One Direction member, has followed “Good For You” singer Selena Gomez on Twitter, according to reports.

Malik's move came after his ex-girlfriend Perrie Edwards' group "Little Mix" promoted singer Justin Bieber's next song, “What Do You Mean” on Instagram. The four-member girl band was seen holding the placard of Bieber's new song in a photo.

Various websites are speculating that Malik followed Bieber's on-and-off girlfriend Gomez on Twitter to make Edwards jealous. Edwards and Malik broke up recently, and it looks like they did not end on a friendly note. Earlier this week, Little Mix's Jade Thirwall was pictured with a "Zayn is irrelevant" placard, made by a fan.

Soon after their break-up, Malik also posted a cryptic message on Twitter. “You just can't do enough for some people, I guess,” he wrote on Aug. 6. The reason for the ex-couple's beak-up is not clear as the two have not cited any reason for their split.

Meanwhile, Malik was also spotted having a good time with Kendall Jenner during the latter's little sister Kylie's 18th birthday bash. Malik's association with Jenner dates back to the time when Jenner was reportedly dating his former bandmate Harry Styles. Jenner and Malik spent all the time chatting with each other in the party, according to reports.

Apart from Jenner and Gomez, Malik was also linked with Disney star Zendaya, but Zendaya has slammed the rumors, saying that they have never met in person.

Meanwhile, Malik is currently focusing on making his solo career. He has signed a record deal with RCA records, and has promised his fans that his new album will come out soon. “Gonna get this done for you !! I promise this album will be amazing,” Malik wrote on Twitter, adding that something “exciting” is coming soon.
