Wentworth Miller and Neal McDonough are reprising their roles as Leonard Snart and Damien Darhk in Season 3 of “Legends of Tomorrow.”

According to TV Insider, Miller is returning as a recurring guest star while McDonough is coming back as a series regular. News of Miller and McDonough’s return were announced at the San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday.

After starring as a series regular in Season 1, Miller returned for Season 2 as a recurring guest star. Miller appeared in four episodes of the show’s sophomore run. Miller’s Leonard, aka Captain Cold, first appeared in Season 2 as a hallucination to his former partner, Mick Rory (Dominic Purcell). Later in the season, the Legion of Doom went back in time and scooped out a pre-Legend version of Leonard to help them steal the Spear of Destiny.

For his part, McDonough appeared in nine episodes of Season 2. McDonough’s Damien was the first one to be recruited by Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher) to help him locate the pieces of the Spear of Destiny.

In the Season 2 finale, Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) successfully de-powered the Spear of Destiny and unleashed the Black Flash on Eobard, who ended up being erased from existence. As part of setting everything right in the time stream, Mick erased Leonard’s memory and brought him back to Central City 2014 where Eobard scooped him out to be part of the Legion of Doom. Sara also wiped Damien’s memory and returned him to Miami 1984.

News of Miller and McDonough’s return is the latest bit of casting news for Season 3 of “Legends of Tomorrow.” In June, it was revealed that “Titanic” star Billy Zane was cast as the founder of Barnum & Bailey Circus, P.T. Barnum. Earlier that month, it was also announced that “American Odyssey” star Tala Ashe joined the show as a series regular. She will play the role of Zari Adrianna Tomaz, a Muslim-American computer geek with a humorous and aggressive attitude who hails from the year 2030.

“Legends of Tomorrow” Season 3 will premiere on Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 9 p.m. EDT on The CW.
