The COVID-19 pandemic forced many across the world to stay home as governments imposed lockdown restrictions to curb the spread of the virus. And after realizing the benefits of working from home, more and more people are now demanding flexibility and the ability to work from anywhere rather than return to offices.

Jobs site Indeed said in an analysis that companies are now more likely to include the ability to work remotely in their postings for jobs than before the pandemic started last year.

Career development manager and coach Brie Reynolds of FlexJobs, a career site dedicated to remote work, said more companies are now starting to offer more high-paying positions that come with work-from-anywhere arrangements, CNBC reported. Postings for remote jobs at the senior level, such as for general manager and chief officer, saw a 22% increase in the last year.

Here are 10 of the best openings and career opportunities that offer at least $100,000 annually and can be done remotely, courtesy of FlexJobs.

10. DevOps engineer (Tech)

DevOps engineers can earn between $115,000 and $125,000 per year. One listing on FlexJobs is looking for a DevOps engineer who can "develop end-to-end automation using infrastructure as code, troubleshoot issues during testing and write and execute automation scripts."

9. Digital payment project manager (Tech)

Digital payment project managers can get an annual salary of $115,000 to $130,000 for "driving real-time payment integrations, executing project plans, and implementations."

8. Senior product designer (Tech)

Remote work for senior product designers is also on the rise, offering an annual salary between $125,000 to $140,000 for individuals who can "understand customer requirements and build user experience products." One listing also required being responsible for creating mockups and prototypes, providing feedback across teams and helping to improve processes.

7. Head of talent development and diversity, equity and inclusion (HR)

The head of talent development and diversity, equity and inclusion would be responsible for transforming and implementing the company’s HR processes while taking into consideration equity, inclusion and diversity. The position comes with an annual salary between $125,000 to $145,000.

6. Design practice lead (Tech)

Offering an annual salary of up to $150,000, a design practice lead would serve as a "product designer for client projects and maintain design standards," according to a FlexJobs listing.

5. Director of marketing campaigns (Marketing)

The director of marketing campaigns can receive up to $150,000 a year. The job would entail creating "brand experiences through full lifecycle integrated, multichannel programs" as well as helping the company "reach revenue, expansion and retention goals," one listing said.

4. Director of accounting (Finance)

The director of accounting will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management within a company, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, according to a FlexJobs listing. The position comes with a yearly salary of up to $150,000.

3. Backend software engineer, cyber security

A backend software engineer in cybersecurity can receive an annual salary of $150,000. One FlexJobs listing required a candidate who will "help build out the company's backend software platform, test companies' cyberdefenses against aggressive bombardment, and use advanced features to achieve a high level of code safety."

The head of global talent acquisition would be responsible for developing and implementing the overall strategic direction a company would need for its hiring process and procedures. With their key role in the company, these individuals earn between $130,000 to $160,000 annually.

1. Product manager (Tech)

Product managers are among the highest-paying remote positions available on FlexJobs. The position can pay up to $180,000 a year. But this job also comes with a long list of responsibilities.

According to one FlexJobs listing, a product manager would need to "identify customer and business opportunities, manage a roadmap, translate opportunities and problems, define and frame problems for the team and determine if the product meets customer needs."
