The body of an 11-year-old boy was found in 11 parts after his 13-year-old friend allegedly bludgeoned him to death with a stone during an argument over money in India.

The police in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh questioned the 13-year-old accused Friday after receiving a tip-off regarding his involvement in the murder of the victim, Latestly reported.

During interrogation, the teen confessed to killing his friend, identified as Subbi. He told the officers he had borrowed $0.82 from the deceased a few months back, but did not return the amount.

"My family members gave me the money to get some things for my house. I lost the money in gambling with Subbi and other friends. I got scared after losing the money and borrowed it from Subbi," the accused said, India Today reported.

Last week, Subbi met him and demanded his money back. This resulted in an argument between the two, during which the victim allegedly started abusing the 13-year-old and took him toward a forest.

"Subbi was abusing me when I took him towards the forest and started fighting with him. I knocked him down when he picked up a stone lying nearby to kill me. I snatched the same stone and hit him in the head, after which he fell, and blood started coming out from his head," he said,

Following the attack, the accused noticed Subbi was breathing, but instead of trying to save him, he dumped him in a bush and fled the spot.

"I threw the stone in the drain and washed the blood in his clothes with the water from the same drain and went home," he said.

Subsequently, Subbi succumbed to injuries. After confessing to the crime, the accused took the officers to the scene where he had dumped Subbi. The police found the boy’s body in 11 parts after wild animals lacerated it.

Earlier this year, a 13-year-old boy in the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand allegedly killed his same-aged neighbor following an argument over a video game.
