A gigantic crocodile dragged a girl into water and allegedly ate her alive. The incident took place near Nara Canal in Sindh province of Pakistan.

The eight-year-old girl’s father said his daughter had gone to a river with her friends when the incident took place. The crocodile suddenly attacked the girl and dragged her into the water. Villagers who arrived at the scene attempted to rescue the girl but were unsuccessful.

Despite witnesses claiming they saw the crocodile eating the girl alive, the child’s family is still hopeful about finding her.

"We called rescue officials and the police but they reached the site six hours after the incident," her father, Gulbahar Khaskheli, told Samaa TV.

The family is now seeking government’s help in searching for the child.

"No one is looking for our daughter. We are doing it ourselves. I just want my daughter and nothing else," the girl’s mother told the news channel.

Another family member revealed they have asked the Pakistan Navy’s help.

The reptile attacked 14-year-old Ricky Ganya while he was looking for snails near a river. The boy’s aunt informed the police she saw the crocodile pulling the victim into the water.

Following an intense search, the crocodile was captured five days after the incident. After the reptile was lifted out of the water and killed, its body was cut open before the boy’s family and the police. Human body parts and some cloth were found inside the reptile’s stomach. The body parts were sent for an autopsy.

In another incident in Indonesia's Riau province earlier this year, a 13-foot-long crocodile attacked a fisherman and pulled him into the water. Following a search, the reptile was caught and killed. Its stomach was cut open to retrieve the victim’s body.
