Prosecutors argued last week that famed comedian Bill Cosby drugged then sexually assaulted a college basketball manager outside his Philadelphia estate in 2004. Cosby's defense team will present their case on Monday.

On Friday, the prosecution rested in a case that has already included some very revealing statements.

1. "Trust, betrayal, and the inability to consent. That's what this case is about.”

This was said by assistant district attorney Kristen Feden in her opening statement.

"This is a case about a man, this man," Feden continued. "Who used his power, and his fame, and his previously practiced method of placing a young trusting woman in an incapacitated state so that he could sexually pleasure himself so that she couldn't say no."

2. "Put them down, they're your friends. They'll take the edge off."

Andrea Constand alleges this is what Cosby told her about three pills that she said incapacitated her. Constand was the director of operations for the Temple University women’s basketball team in 2004 when the alleged assault took place. Constand knew Cosby because he is a Temple alumnus and maintained a close relationship with the school as a trustee. The two became friends and Constand testified that Cosby became a mentor figure to her.

Constand said in trial that she visited Cosby at his home in suburban Philadelphia in January 2004 to talk about career advice. According to Constand, Cosby then gave her pills that made her feel “underwater,” and Cosby assaulted her.

3. "I was obviously very distraught at ... just the fact that he betrayed her."

This statement came from Constand’s mother, Gianna, during her testimony. She called Cosby when she first learned about what happened to her daughter, about one year after the incident. Gianna Constand questioned him about what happened, testifying that Cosby tried to convince her that the encounter was consensual.

During cross examination, Cosby’s defense pointed out that Constand had changed a few facts of her testimony from how she had reported it to police in 2005. Phone records also show that Cosby and Constand made numerous calls to each other after the night of the alleged assault. Constand maintains that they were work related.

4. "Would I give you anything to hurt you?"

This statement came in testimony from Kelly Johnson, who alleges that Cosby assaulted her in a very similar way and that he asked her this question before giving her pills to calm her. Johnson was an assistant at the William Morris talent agency. According to CNN, Cosby was their biggest client.

5. “I’m thinking this is a dirty old man with a young girl. The mother is coming at me for being a dirty old man.”

This statement came from Cosby, according to a police deposition. This is what was allegedly going through Cosby’s head during the phone calls with Constand’s mother. The deposition was taken as part of a civil case Constand filed against Cosby.
