With the holidays arriving and a New Year on the horizon the time has come for old grudges to come to an end and for new beginnings to have a start—unless of course, you live in Salem, Genoa City or Los Angeles.

Just because Christmas has come and gone and New Year’s Eve is soon to pass doesn’t mean the drama has come to any sort of end on “Days of Our Lives,” “The Young and the Restless,” or “The Bold and the Beautiful.” In fact, even as some things come to an end, a whole new mess of issues are first beginning. In case you missed a moment of the jam-packed episodes during the week of Dec. 24, here are the five biggest things that happened.

“Days Of Our Lives” (NBC)

Abigail And Chad Get Big News

Redemption came in a very big way for Abigail (Kate Mansi), as she not only managed to successfully divorce Stefan (Tyler Christopher) and reveal that she wasn’t “Gabby” after all but got through to everyone else with the truth about Gabi’s (Camila Banus) setup. The big moment came when she unexpectedly learned that Gabi had also switched the results of Charlotte’s DNA test, and despite what they had all thought for months, Chad (Billy Flynn) was the little girl’s father. While she isn’t yet up to forgiving those she feels betrayed her, it was a big moment for Abigail when she was able to finally prove to everyone what Gabi had done.

New Years Arrives With A Big Shock

DOOL JACK RETURNS
An unexpected face turned up for the New Year’s Party on “Days of Our Lives.” XJ Johnson/JPI Studios for NBC

With the biggest drama seemingly out of the way, the time came for everyone to try and put their other differences aside as they brought in a new year. However, the benefit party for the Horton Center came to a crashing halt when someone unexpected crashed. Eve (Kassie DePaiva) revealed she was back in town and ready for revenge—and she hasn’t even unleashed her big surprise on everyone just yet and revealed that Jack (Matthew Ashford) is there, alive and well.

“Young And The Restless” (CBS)

Victor Returns

He’s been missing for a while, and the fact that he didn’t come home to Genoa City as his wife lies in a hospital bed and on the brink of death hasn’t gone unnoticed. However, despite it seeming as though Victor (Eric Braden) wouldn’t come home for Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), he managed to secretly sneak in and see her—and even inspired her to wake up. However, that wasn’t the only surprise he had planned.

Nikki Goes Missing

After Nikki woke up, Victor quickly worked to make sure that if the hit-and-run was no accident, that the culprit responsible didn’t try to finish her off. Enlisting Nate’s (Brooks Darnell) help, he made an attempt to get Nikki to a secure location, but a relapse in her condition forced Nate to turn back towards Genoa City, where Nick (Joshua Morrow) learned what he was up to. Now, the men are intent on getting Nikki back into her hospital room in order to save her life—but Victor’s henchman is seeing things a little differently.

“Bold And The Beautiful” (CBS)

Hope Goes Into Labor

After planning a babymoon before they become parents, Hope (Annika Noelle) and Liam (Scott Clifton) were on cloud nine. However, Kelly’s fever forced Liam to stay behind in L.A. as Hope went ahead to Catalina for their trip. Now, thanks to heavy winds, he is stranded and can’t get to her—which is a big problem, since she has started going into labor, and remains alone on the island with no one to help her.
