Has Christian Grey finally met his Anastasia Steele?

An image of a man and woman’s feet posing side-by-side posted online this week by “Fifty Shades of Grey” author E.L. James has created a frenzy on social media. “Guess who...” James tweeted Friday along with the photo. While the 50-year-old author didn’t confirm the that actors Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan were in the image, fans immediately guessed that the unidentified duo could be the future Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.

“Oh my!!! Christian and Ana!!” wrote the Spanish “Fifty Shades” fan site 50 Sombras Spain Friday, a guess shared by many of James’ Twitter followers. “Mister Grey and you! or Ana!” said user Cami Guzman Soto. According to one fan, Twitter user Jane Ozera, the female in the image is Johnson. “It is Jamie and Dakota,” said the “Fifty Shades” fan, adding, “I can see Dakota tattoo on her feet.”

If fans guesses are correct, the image is the first of the “Fifty Shades of Grey” stars together since Dornan was announced as the replacement for the film’s former star (TV actor Charlie Hunnam) as the sexually sadistic billionaire, Christian Grey. “Stow your twitchy palms ladies... our man is here. Welcome to #TeamFifty @JamieDornan1" James posted on Twitter on Oct. 24 following her announcement on Sep. 2 in which she confirmed Johnson, former star of the now defunct sitcom “Ben and Kate,” would take on the role of the sexually inexperienced college graduate, Anastasia Steele.

Following the casting news, Dornan gave his first public comment last week on Twitter, sharing a love story ad on behalf of Fred J. Malcolm Ltd., a jewelry store from his hometown of Belfast, Northern Ireland. “People I care about made an advert,” Dornan wrote Tuesday, adding, “Apart from the obvious fire hazard, I think it’s great. Looking sharp, CB!”

According to a report from the Hollywood Reporter, the "Fifty Shades of Grey" film is still currently scheduled to be released on its original premiere date, August 1, 2014, despite the casting shake up. The film, an adaption of the best-selling triology of the same name, will reportedly begin filming in Vancouver in early December. According to a report from The Wrap, the first trailer for the highly-anticipated erotica movie is rumored to be premiere during the 2014 Super Bowl in February.
