Six people were arrested for allegedly stabbing four vacationers at a party at an Airbnb in North Carolina.

The police responded to reports of the stabbings at a rental home in Marshall, Madison County, at around 3:20 a.m. Monday. Upon reaching the scene, Madison County Sheriff's deputies found four people with "multiple stab wounds," the New York Post reported.

"Four individuals received medical treatment for multiple stab wounds," Madison County Sheriff Buddy Harwood said in a statement on Facebook.

However, their current medical conditions were unknown.

Following the incident, six people were taken into custody and charged by the police. All individuals, who were involved in the incident, were reportedly vacationing in Madison County. The police did not reveal the vacationers' hometown or the victims' identities.

There were other people also inside the home, who were not involved in the stabbing, the police added.

Sheriff Harwood confirmed the stabbings were an "isolated incident." "There's not any immediate threat to the neighborhood."

The sheriff's office was able to locate a Lincoln, for which a Be On The Lookout was issued by investigators. They believe it was occupied by one of the suspects, named Daniel Mansilla.

"We've got at least one vehicle we're looking for," Sheriff Harwood said, as per WLOS. "If anybody sees this vehicle we'd love to talk with the individual in that vehicle. And at this time that all I can give you."

One of the suspects, identified as Jay Caleb Bell, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. He was also charged with felony possession of psilocybin mushrooms, felony possession of cocaine, and possession of marijuana, according to the sheriff's office.

The other five people arrested include Mansilla, Richard Vincent Sakowski, Cassi Deann Sakowski, Christopher Lyn Boles, and Jodi Michelle Douthit. Each of them was charged with felony possession of psilocybin mushrooms, felony possession of cocaine, and possession of marijuana.

It wasn't clear if drugs played a part in the stabbings. Additional information such as what led to the stabbing was not released, as an investigation was underway into the incident.

In a statement to WLOS, an Airbnb spokesperson said its specialized safety team was investigating the incident, and also offered support to the Madison County Sheriff's Office. The company added it will take action to ban the guest, who booked the reservation on the platform, and also ensured support to the host.
