An 81-year-old father was arrested and charged with attempted murder for allegedly shooting his daughter, following an argument in their Florida residence.

Nassau County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the intersection of Ratliff Road near Woodbridge Drive in Callahan at around 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 27 after receiving reports that a person had been shot.

Upon arrival at the scene, the deputies found a woman shot in the arm, sitting in her vehicle in front of the former fire station located on Ratliff Road, Action News reported.

The 911 caller told dispatchers the woman was shot by her father, identified as Robert Hall.

Deputies eventually located Hall and detained him. According to an arrest report accessed by First Coast News, Hall and his daughter had an argument, which started after the two were talking about "family issues."

Hall was calling the victim names, the report revealed, to which she responded by shouting, "Are you serious dad?"

"He [Hall] responded, 'You won't raise your voice to me in this house? You stupid (expletive) I'll kill you'," the report added. "Sit down I'll kill you," the father further said.

At this point, Hall "reached for his .38 caliber Smith & Wesson revolver in a side table near his chair and fired multiple shots. At least two shots hit a wall in the home and a third shot hit the victim in the shoulder," the sheriff's office said in a statement.

After being shot, the victim attempted to walk away, while continuously yelling, "Daddy don't kill me!"

The victim told the cops she was covered in blood and managed to walk outside the residence. She was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The victim, whose identity has not been revealed, told the deputies she had been living at the home for three months and had been taking care of Hall. She also revealed she had text messages in which her father previously threatened her.

Hall was receiving medical treatment for unrelated health issues as of Thursday evening, deputies said. An investigation was launched into the matter. There was no threat to the community.
