A new trailer of “Agent Carter” Season 2 has been released by Marvel and ABC. The trailer teases some of the scenes from the next season, in which Peggy will be travelling to Los Angeles to take on a new case.

The video posted on YouTube describes Peggy’s (Hayley Atwell) arrival in Los Angeles as the “next big thing in Hollywood.” The character will be getting a slightly different wardrobe, including new sunglasses, that is suited to the new city.

Edwin Jarvis (James D’Arcy) will be waiting for Peggy when she arrives in Los Angeles. Jarvis will continue to be a chauffeur for Peggy and will drive her around the new city. The character is also expected to help the secret agent in her new mission, just as he did in the first season of the show.

The video teases some of the action sequences in the next season. There will also be typical Jarvis humor. One of the comedy scenes of “Agent Carter” Season 2 teased in the trailer video shows Jarvis explaining all the gadgets that have been installed in one of Howard Stark’s (Dominic Cooper) car.

In a previous interview with Slashfilm, executive producers Tara Butters and Chris Dingess revealed that the villain on the show this time around will be their version of the comic book character Madame Masque (Wynn Everett).

“I think we’ve changed the look of her a bit obviously. We’ve made her an actress, which is very Hedy Lamar. She was a ‘40s siren actress who was also a scientific genius, so that’s part of what we’re mining with this character,” Butters said in the interview. She later added that the writers “co-opted” the new villain from the comic books the same way they did Dr. Fennhoff in the first season.

The executive producers believe that the new villain being a woman in “Agent Carter” Season 2 is significant because it allows the character to inform Peggy’s story and the protagonist can do the same with the villain’s story. The producers also pointed out that there is a dearth of female villains in the industry.
