Apple AirPods are known for their quality due to the company’s commitment to innovation. However, even the AirPods sometimes have problems, and users have reported issues related to connecting the listening device with smartphones. Here’s how to fix the AirPods if they don’t work properly.

To get started, you’ll need to go to the Settings app of your Apple device. From there, go to the Bluetooth options and tap on the “i” icon near your AirPods if its in the devices list. The AirPods needs to be unlinked from your device and can be done through the “Forget this Device” option.

After doing this in your Apple device, place back the AirPods in its charging case and make sure that the charging case has some energy left inside it. On the charging case is a reset button that can be found at the bottom of the case. It has the same color as the whole case so you’ll have to touch the case to locate it.

To fully reset the AirPods, you’ll have to open the case lid and hold down the reset button for at least 15 seconds. The reset will be complete once the case’s internal light turns from white to amber. Close the lid to finish up the reset.

What’s left is testing it out on your device, so open up the lid again when it’s next to your Apple device to recognize it. This should fix the connection problem if your AirPods only have one Pod working or don’t connect at all.

If it still persists, resetting the Apple device’s network settings may help out. Go back to the Settings App and dig through the General menus. Once inside, pick the Reset option and choose Reset Network Settings. After doing this, repeat the reset and it should fix your AirPods connection problem.

In other news, Apple is planning to release the next generation AirPods this 2019. The new AirPods would have improved battery life than the original. Potentially, Apple may have solved out this issue and we’ll just have to wait a few more months to avoid this issue altogether.
