Amanda Seyfried has opened up about her two-decade acting career and her struggle with anxiety and panic attacks which, according to her, have been caused by being under the spotlight.

"It feels like life or death," the 35-year-old actress told host Willie Geist during her "Sunday Sitdown" appearance which aired on "Today."

"That's what a panic attack is, really," Seyfried continued. "Your body just goes into fight or flight. The endorphin rush and the dump that happens after the panic attack is so extraordinary. You just feel so relieved and your body is just kind of recovered in a way. It's so bizarre because it's physiological, but it starts in your head."

"I fought so hard to impress upon people that I'm normal, that I do not have someone waking me up with breakfast in bed, and I'm not chauffeured around," she explained. "And every time I meet someone new, I'm just so desperate for them to understand that you can talk to me."

"I wanna connect like everybody else, because I am like everybody else," she added.

The interview lightened up when the actress' 7-month-old baby boy, Thomas, made a guest appearance. Seyfried picked up his little bundle of joy and introduced him to Geist, "You can look at that nice man."

"Oh my God. What a cute guy," Geist answered. "Come on! Oh, that's incredible."

The "Mean Girls" star welcomed her baby boy last September with her 44-year-old husband Thomas Sadoski, reported People.

They announced the news through the International Network for Aid, Relief, and Assistance (INARA) to promote the organization, which helps kids with medical treatment in conflict areas.

"Since the birth of our daughter 3 years ago our commitment to the innocent children that are so brutally affected by conflict and war has been a driving force in our lives. With the birth of our son the work of INARA and War Child has become our North Star." the couple said in their announcement.

The couple also shares a four-year-old daughter, Nina. Seyfried and Sadoski confirmed their engagement in 2016 and got married in a private ceremony in March 2017. Seyfried's upcoming movie, "Things Heard & Seen," is slated to come out on April 29.
