A United Kingdom court heard Amber Heard’s younger sister's testimony Thursday, July 24, in which she mentioned she "felt sick" when she heard about the actress' engagement to Johnny Depp.

A written testimony stated 31-year-old Whitney Henriquez was unhappy when her elder sister informed her in September 2013 that she was getting engaged to the actor. Henriquez said Heard’s relationship with Depp was "tumultuous from the start," and added she had noticed signs of physical abuse right at the beginning.

"I told her it was a bad idea, begged her not to go through with it and said that she should end it because it wasn’t going to get better. I asked her, ‘Why are you putting up with this?’ and told her that him putting a ring on her finger was not going to stop him hitting her," Henriquez said, the Evening Standard reported.

After several unsuccessful attempts to confront her sister, Henriquez asked Depp directly in 2014, "Why did you f--king have to hit her?"

"Sometimes he would flat out deny it or downplay it by saying ‘No, I just pushed her, I didn’t hit her,'"Henriquez said.

Henriquez went on to say 57-year-old Depp was "incredibly jealous and possessive" and “controlled” what Heard wore.

"Johnny was incredibly jealous and possessive and was threatened by her former partners and co-stars, both men and women," she told the court.

Henriquez said she lived in the "Pirates of the Caribbean" star’s penthouse despite witnessing the actor abusing her sister. During her stay at the penthouse, she said she witnessed a huge fight. It began with Depp throwing a Red Bull can at his sobriety nurse, and then tried to chase Henriquez and Heard up the stairs.

"When he got to the top of the stairs, he was pulling me backwards so he could get to Amber. I remember being scared because I was worried that I would fall backwards and fall down the stairs," she recalled, adding that he then tried to move her out of the way.

"Amber suddenly lurched forward and hit him and said 'Don’t hit my sister.' Somehow I was pushed out of the way so I wasn’t between them, but I was standing right there next to them when Johnny grabbed her by the hair with one hand and I saw him punch her really hard in the head with his other hand multiple times," she told the court.
