American Horror Story: Apocalypse
Michael Langdon (Cody Fern) informs the survivors about life outside of the compound on “American Horror Story: Apocalypse,” episode 2. FX

Surviving the end of the world isn’t easy and on “American Horror Story” Season 8, episode 2, the residents of Ms. Venable’s compound will learn that their futures following the apocalypse are no longer promised.

On Wednesday night, fans will get their first taste of the “AHS: Coven” and “Murder House” crossover they have been waiting for. Not only will a few familiar witches be on hand to shake things up, but one unforgettable character from the Harmon household will also make his debut in “The Morning After.”

Check out the 3 things you should expect to see in “American Horror Story: Apocalypse,” episode 2.

“AHS: Coven” Magic

In the FX promo, Cordelia Foxx (Sarah Paulson), Myrtle Snow (Frances Conroy) and Madison Montgomery (Emma Roberts) are seen walking the halls of Ms. Venable’s (Paulson) compound. Elsewhere, Misty Day (Lily Rabe) is seen looking on in disbelief. Perhaps she is amazed she is no longer stuck in her own personal hell? Either way, fans of “Coven” won’t want to miss the return of the Supreme and her circle of witches.

Panic Begins To Set In

In the “American Horror Story” Season 8, episode 2 promo video, Michael (Cody Fern) tells the survivors humanity is on the brink of failure and the world is descending into a living hell. Even though Ms. Venable insists they should take the opportunity to remold the world the way they want, it appears the residents are starting to act out. In the preview, the head of the compound is seen slapping Coco (Leslie Grossman) before the scene cuts to Mr. Gallant (Evan Peters), whose face is covered in blood. Is fear causing Ms. Venable to lose control of her once timid residents?

“AHS: Murder House” Mystery

In the FX promo video, someone is seen standing in the hallway of the compound dressed in the infamous rubber man suit from “Murder House.” Fans may recall the costume from Season 1 when Tate Langdon (Peters) wore it to sexually assault Vivien Harmon (Connie Britton). The encounter resulted in Michael’s birth. Will “The Morning After” feature a father-son reunion that could threaten the order of Ms. Venable’s structured compound?

“American Horror Story: Apocalypse,” episode 2 airs Wednesday at 10 p.m. EDT on FX.
